Poole update #3

Learned a handful more after speaking once again to Mark today.

There are health and safety issues surrounding the number of singers allowed on the stage at the Lighthouse, so the limit appears to be 275 - however, two of the nine choirs have now dropped out, namely Swindon MVC and Hampshire Police MVC. Mark reckons that the numbers will therefore still just about balance themselves out.

The venue is very nice, accommodating some 1,600 seats (the Lighthouse's website suggests 2,500 standing), boasting a fabulous 12' Steinway. The bar has a 24-hour licence - so there won't be any need to find a venue for any après-concert social that may occur!

In addition to 273 (Roman War Song) and 165 (or 376-1 Gwahoddiad) I shall also be conducting 63 (Llanfair).
